Morbus – The Apotecary of Agony

Once a healer driven by the desperation of an unstoppable plague, Morbus sought knowledge in the darkest corners of alchemy. His obsession twisted his purpose, transforming him from a savior into the Apothecary of Agony. He now views the Riftlands as a grand laboratory, the swirling energies of conflict his reagents, and the suffering of combatants his data. Wielding corrupted life essence and mastering potent toxins, Morbus seeks not to cure, but to understand perfection through affliction.

Morbus controls the battlefield through insidious means. His Noxious Trail leaves deadly poison tokens in his wake, punishing those who dare to follow or occupy the tainted ground. He excels at applying relentless damage over time, weakening foes and manipulating engagements through the strategic placement of his toxic creations. Enemies activating near his tokens find themselves afflicted, turning the very environment against them. Master Morbus, and you master the slow, inevitable decay of your enemies.

SKILLS

VENOMOUS STRIKE:

Apply POISON 1 to the target.

MIASMIC EXPLOSION:

Detonate a Poisoned area, dealing 1 DMG per POISON + MIASMA 1 to all enemy entities within range 1.
Then remove the POISON token.

PLAGUE CLOUD:

Place PLAGUE CLOUD Tile in target area. Enemies entering/activating on it gain POISON 1 + MIASMA 1.

PESTILENT PACT:

If the target is Poisoned, choose one: remove all POISON to gain 1 SHARD per level OR deal +1 DMG, then HEAL equal to POISON level -1 (min. 1).

VIPER’S RETREAT:

Move up to 2 spaces, leaving a POISON 1 token in every space you exit.
